After their touching, tear-inspiring traditional Jewish wedding ceremony, Stacey and Jeff were off to the rooftop of the London Hotel for their reception, with quite a view.
Dinner was adjacent to the pool, where cocktail hour was held and guests could lounge, take a break from their sore dancing feet, and soak in the view of the night throughout the evening. (Did I mention yet how much I loved this venue?!)
Weddings are a personal and unique affair, and as a little wedding planner, I LOVE working with couples to make their wedding quite unique and quite personal with extra added touches. Stacey and Jeff were so wonderful to work with – Stacey with her elegant, modern and great taste, (Jeff too), and Jeff with his great dance moves, fun-loving spirit and quite the gentleman himself. Together… we have a wedding night full of unforgettable moments and great personal touches! …
Unforgettable Moment #1: Their First Dance
You can say you can’t go wrong with The King of Pop, (RIP Michael Jackson) but oh man.. Thriller has never seen a better-looking bride, groom and bridal party than this!!
Personal Touch #1: Table Numbers!
If I ever get the pleasure of working with you as a couple, you can guarantee that I’ll probably suggest throwing the traditional “numbers” out the door and going with something that is unique to you and your wedding day! Since Stacey and Jeff were going with a “travel” and “city” inspired wedding theme, I suggested they take a day to soak in the iconic sights of Los Angeles and make them their table numbers! The result? tables that sight-see throughout LA … Grauman’s Chinese Theater… Santa Monica Pier… Hard Rock Cafe … Rodeo Drive… oh so many and oh so fun!
Personal Touch #2: Pashminas
Isn’t it so kind when a bride and groom is thoughtful of their guests’ comfort level and every need? Such is true here… Stacey’s favor for the ladies were pashminas for all the ladies to wear so they could ‘stay warm under the stars’. Added bonus? – the pashminas are also in a color that would match almost any outfit for future wear!
Unforgettable Moment #2: The Song by the Groom
During the wedding ceremony, the Rabbi alluded to a song that Jeff had written and sung to Stacey when he proposed to her. It was to all of our enjoyment that Jeff sang “the song” again tonight!
Personal Touch #3: ‘C‘ is for cake? NO! ‘C’ is for Cream Puffs & Candy!
Why have a cake when your guests enjoy other things – like cream puffs in multi-flavors and multi-colors, and candy, including Turkish Delight from the best place in LA to eat them from, m&ms and licorice and chocolate covered raisins & almonds and … oooh I have begun to officially drool.
In addition to cream puffs and candy, guests could also enjoy a post-dinner espresso with drinks made to order from the Brew-Ha-Ha coffee cart.
And after a long night filled with dancing, laughter, food, drinks, friends and family fun …. I get to to have a prized picture with the bride and groom!
Congratulations Stacey & Jeff! What a spectacular celebration you two threw. It was my honor working with the both of you!
